Add Ons

Most of the information in this section has appeared in articles in the NDUG (National Dragon Users Group [UK]) Up2Date disk magazine over the past few years and is presented here in it's original form. I am indebted to Ray Smith (Up2Date Editor) for the diagrams which were drawn by him for the Dragon's PMODE 4 screen which I have since converted to GIF files for this page.

Electronic Component Suppliers

Maplin Electronics

Pretty much cheapest supplier of mainstream electronic components and the such in the UK. 95% of my add ons was built using their kit. Also do a number of 'build it yourself kits' including the ISA card I use for PC-Share.

Greenweld Electronics

Mostly deal with surplus electronic stock (salvage it yourself?) and knock down prices. Their mainstream component line is much reduced but a good place to have a look for a bargain or two (if you don't mind a bit of soldering).

Farnell Components

Never had any dealings with them, though they are based throughout Europe and Australia way so may prove a cheaper solution than ordering overseas to the UK.

RS Components

Worldwide electronics suppliers mostly to industry (and not overly cheap either) but have probably the widest range of products.

Any others I should add? Let me know.
